Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data ReverbVid collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. We've written this in plain language. If anything is unclear please email david@sitebrewer.com.
Summary
ReverbVid is designed to process your videos locally on your device. We do not upload your videos or audio to any server. We do not track you across other apps or websites. The only personal data we handle are the items required for the App Store subscription system and the items you voluntarily share when contacting support.
What we collect
- Subscription status — whether you have an active Pro or Studio subscription. This is provided by Apple's App Store, not by us directly. We do not receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID.
- Purchase receipts — Apple provides a cryptographic receipt proving you own a subscription. We validate this receipt with Apple's servers to unlock paid features. Receipts contain no personal information beyond the product ID and purchase date.
- Crash and performance diagnostics — if the app crashes, iOS may send anonymous crash logs to us via Apple's diagnostics system. You can opt out in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
- Support correspondence — if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use this only to respond to your query and then delete it within 90 days unless an ongoing issue requires otherwise.
What we do NOT collect
- Your videos or audio recordings — these stay on your device.
- Your name, email address, or contact info (unless you email us).
- Your location, IP address, or device identifiers.
- Usage analytics, clickstream data, or behavioural tracking.
- Anything for advertising purposes — there are no ads in ReverbVid.
How your videos are processed
When you select a video and apply effects, all processing happens locally on your iPhone or iPad. Audio analysis, reverb rendering, pitch correction, pitch shift, and speed change run entirely offline using your device's CPU. Exports are written to your device's local temporary storage. Videos saved to your Photos library are saved using Apple's PhotosKit APIs, which run entirely on your device.
Third parties we use
Apple (App Store, StoreKit) — handles subscription payments and receipt verification. Apple's own privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.
We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook SDK, or any advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
Your rights (UK GDPR / UK DPA)
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, or erase the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Since we collect almost nothing, these rights are simple to exercise — email david@sitebrewer.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
ReverbVid is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where reasonable, notify you in-app.
